My first band in Holland was "Mover" 1979-80, what a good experience, working with a very talented guitar player, Arjen Anthony Lucassen("Bodine", "Vengence", "Ayron", and "Star One".).
Then came "Hammerhead" 1980-81, a fun band, party all the time. What else can you expect, with guys like Chris Van Jaarsveld and Dick Stam.
In 1981 I joined "Picture" The first Dutch Heavy Metal band and recorded "Diamond Dreamer" which by many fans is regarded as their best album.
In 1982 I decided to start my own band "Horizon" 1982-85 The musical style was very melodic. We got a record deal with CBS Records and recorded "Master Of The Game" an album I produced.
In 1985 I moved to the USA and joined "The Rods" 1985-87, a great band, very experienced. With them I recorded the album "Heavier Than Thou".
Then came a long line of projects 1988-97 "Vision", "Harpo", "Kane", "Vindicator", "House Rules", and "Machine".
I then started a band with a great friend from the old country,"Moonrock" 1997-2001. There is something special in working with Dani Shetrit, it's like working with your musical twin.
"GOF" (Guardians Of The Flame) is a one album project, nevertheless working with Jack Starr, Joe Hasselvender and Ned Meloni made music fun again.
In the year 2006 I was busy coproducing The Rods come back CD with Carl Canedy and David "Rock" Feinstein. It was a hard and satisfying work, we had Ronnie James Dio as a guest singer on two songs: "The Code" and "Metal Will Never Die". I had some good times working with the guys.
Currently I am recording a new "Avigal" CD titled "Gates of Hell" with Dick Reome on guitars, Carl Canedy on drums Rich Ackerman on guitars and Mark Denson on bass. Happy days are here again and it's a lot of fun.
